Tom is a fantastic tutor! His deductive logic lessons were helpful and I’ve found continued use for everything I learned even in law school. Thanks Tom!

I actually contemplated about writing a textbook on first-order logic which would covers using a proof system and some metatheories, but I guess it would take too much time for that to happen. Not in my schedule now – Maybe later 😉

I don’t know why. After having been exposed to some many subjects in higher mathematics, logic just happens to be my favorite!

Tom was the only person I found that was able to truly help me in what I found to be one of the most difficult courses of my degree, Algebra 1. Thank you very much Tom.

Proof-based courses could be a challenge to teach of course. No doubt that major tutoring companies are not offering these courses, as they take substantially more preparation and the demand is simply not there comparing to applied math courses such as calculus and statistics.

    Hey Tom,
Just took the final and I think I did alright! Most of it was hypothesis testing which I knew well. I stupidly forgot normal distribution percentages but other than that it was good. Thanks again for the help!

    Hey Tom,

Good news! I killed the Probability Final. Thanks for your help in fine-tuning my problem-solving skills before the exam.

If there was anything I would change, I personally would have preferred a faster-pace but I’m the type of guy who watches lectures at 4x speed so dont take my word for it :p

    Have a great summer!

Hehe…reminds me of myself when I was in school. Yeah, I’ve since learn the wisdom of patience and slowing down my speech (just because it generally takes a bit of time for students to digest sentences). However, it seems that I have also forgotten the wisdom of speeding up when I get people like you. 😉

Ha! Probably not! That was the byproduct of a rage against marketing hypes, and fortunately I was able to channel all those negative energy into “good” use! 🙂
